Costs

  • there will be no costs for the participants to attend the 2-day-workshop
  • for a limited number of participants travel and hotel costs can be subsidized; this will be first proposed to institutions that are willing to conduct a national food consumption survey but have little or no experience on dietary methodology and study design
  • other participants will have to provide their own travel and accommodation costs

Programme

The first day will be devoted to sharing knowledge. International organisations are invited to express their needs and plans with regard to European food consumption data (collection). The EFCOVAL-team will demonstrate the EPIC-Soft software and related methodological platform, and will explain the potential and requirements for using EPIC-Soft as a dietary assessment instrument.

The second day will be more interactive. In small groups national and international possibilities, challenges and options will be informally discussed with the aim to formulate recommendations for future activities.
