Efcoval Closing Conference

EFCOVAL started in 2006 and ends March 2010. In order to disseminate the results of the EFCOVAL project to the outside world and to discuss its applicability for pan-European dietary monitoring, a closing conference was held on 9-10 September 2009 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
The closing conference of EFCOVAL was open for people interested in the results of EFCOVAL, from international and national organizations in nutrition and health, including authorities, industry and science. In particular, potential users of the EPIC-SOFT program, including policymakers, representatives from governmental and scientific organizations in public health and nutrition were invited to attend the conference.
The results of EFCOVAL will be published in a Supplement of The European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, to be expected in 2010.
The abstracts of the poster presentations will be published in an online supplement in the Archives of Public health.
